very religious
Not our impression at all. Plenty of non-Catholics attend.
Sure but if a college is REQUIRING my DS/DD to take "The Problem of God" (THEO-1000) or "Introduction to Biblical Literature" (THEO-1100), we're NOT going there.
As an optional course, sure do what you want to offer.

Great kid, should interview well. But now very concerned because it was so short.

What exactly is the LGBTQ community? There are different types of gay, trans, and queer people.

My son just finished his freshman fall semester in school of health. Lined up a research position starting in January that it (seems) is going to last all 4 years. He applied with no grades at GU because it was November and I guess they judged based on interview and whatever was on his resume from back in high school? Anyway, it is challenging and he remarked that everyone there is smart. He played club sports, worked out, went running daily, studied and had a very balanced life. Very positive experience....so far. Did not live in the library despite taking chem and bio.

Given that it is rooted in Jesuit theology, being upset about a so-called drift is really a them problem.
Georgetown openly states on campus tours that they are not into that Catholic stuff.
They also hide their Catholic roots on their website and social media. You have to look very attentively to find any genuine mention of Catholicism from Georgetown University.
Georgetown is fine as a secular university. They are no longer a Catholic university. The Jesuits made a conscious decision to dump the Faith at Georgetown many years ago, and succeeded quite well.
People go to Georgetown because it has strong (secular) programs. They no longer go for a Catholic university educstion or community, because Georgetown doesn't want Catholic education or even Catholic culture and heritage.
