It’s a team full of talented, very hard working girls who love playing soccer together, love their coach, and are motivated to continue to develop. If they get to celebrate being “1” on got soccer, great. Hope it encourages them to keep on working hard. I know that they are focused on that - development. Not got soccer points.
#1 in the country and playing in the 3rd division of Jefferson Cup? Looks like point chasing to me. Lots of development there. Pathetic!
I disagree. Jeff Cup only cares about ECNL teams. Or pre-ecnl teams. If you aren't in that league you get placed whereever they need to fill a spot.
The Jeff Cup placement is a very good indicator of how they stack up to their competitors. This is clearly a team that has done well in a club where the girls' side isn't competitive nationally, but no one who knows soccer would call them #1 in the nation. 2014 Surf, FC Dallas, Legends, Slammers, Match Fit, MVLA, So Cal Blues, Beach, Sting, SLSG, etc. would like a word. Credit where credit is due, the 2014 PSAs have outperformed all other Potomac girls' teams in recent history but they would struggle against the real top teams. There is nothing wrong with that, but marketing themselves as #1 is pretty silly. It seems that the girls themselves know that, as multiple players plan to leave next year.
Nah - they do a good job with the flights for the most part. They have almost 2000 teams across all boys/girls age groups. Of course there will be some teams in the wrong flight, but they get it right far more often than they get it wrong.

But you're still wrong - the GS rankings have 0 merit at all. It's not like they're wrong sometimes, they're wrong ALL the time. So if you use that to boast about your club, you're being VERY disingenuous.

The point is there is a big disconnect between GotSport Rankings and the Rankings App.
GotSport Rankings give more points for their affiliated tournaments and the ranking fluctuate more.
Rankings App mathematically considered the strength of the opposing teams in their calculations and the rankings are steadier.
By and large, the Rankings app is a much better predictor of the team's state and national ranking.
It is an impossible task to get right and I have not seen a system that is better than the Rankings App.

the whole Gotsoccer rankings is a joke.... have you seen their Team Rankings Leaderboard? they have Baltimore Bays 2012 Crush as the #1 in the nation for U14 and NJ Premier 11G Aspire as #1 ranked for U15.

I thought they played up in that tournament and played 11v11. Now, I might be mistaken, but if I'm not, those are not horrible losses playing outside their comfort zones - almost like the coach wanted to introduce them to how things will be changing for next year - not trolling and as I said, maybe I'm mistaken on the 11v11.
