I love this type but the introverted part gets old after a while (like, 10 years in.) Whenever I have people over he busies himself to avoid small talk. He comes across as a huge snob to my friends' husbands and we don't get invited to family parties and such. He would never dream of asking questions to help the conversation flow. He would like to talk about something "intense" but obviously most people don't start out with intense subjects and he's not about to bring them up.
