Trump has done plenty to indicate that he's a con man. I understand that atheists don't want to identify with him. But I think he is one - a bad atheist, who is posing as a Christian because it's helpful to him politically.

Yes, he's a con man. That doesn't mean in any way that he's an atheist. He can be a con man and still believe in god/heaven.

He has literally NEVER said or done anything to indicate that he's an atheist.

The Heaven talk is because like any other person facing their own mortality, due to ill health, and in the knowledge that he isn't going to last forever as Permanent President (people close to him squished his idea of a third term, remember)... he's starting to look at his legacy and what'll happen to him after death.

It's NORMAL. It doesn't necessarily mean he acknowledges all his past wrongs. I don't think his narcissistic and sociopathic brain is capable of that. But it's a sign that he knows he's in bad health and a lame duck.
