SYC has a real mutiny on its hands.

Wait, the rec soccer commissioner is against the travel soccer people? The drama deepens.
Travel soccer takes all the other sports fields
Anonymous wrote:I'm sure the rec commissioner is out of touch with what is really happening. He is supporting someone for the board that has no true affiliation to the club other than being a referee of games and collecting a paycheck without doing any real work to help the club. Definitely can tell that administrative leadership is worried for their jobs and trying to protect their position with new people. Wait until the new board members realize so many of the clubs failures fall on that person's shoulders and they see it is just smoke and mirrors.

Even STJ, a private for profit company with likely more money than SYC, can't even figure out how to expand out of their flagship location with a single turf indoor field in FFX county.

Sounds like a lot of deflecting and not telling the truth from many of these posters. I'll continue to watch from the peanut gallery and laugh which is what all the other clubs in the area are doing as you keep airing your not so dirty laundry.
Right what do people think a volunteer board actually does…. google it or ask AI and you’ll see it’s stuff like vision, policies, budgets, hiring. the day to day “do the work” is staff in the office.
For SYC, each sport has commissioners who run it. I’m assuming the board isn’t sitting there every afternoon telling them how to throw a football or how to move cones around.
So if you’re mad about how something’s being run maybe talk to your commissioner first. unless you are the commissioner and just don’t know what you’re doing…. So now you’re blaming everyone else….
Until your post I always wondered what a volunteer board member did as well. Then I came across the profile of one of the board members up for reelection. No more imagining things, the list of accomplishments speak for themselves.
What the heck is the club secretary doing parking studies for? The dude probably went outside a few times, looked at the parking lot, and came to the bright conclusion that there was or wasn’t enough parking space.
Sounds like someone needs to grab the mic at the AGM and explain all the hard work and effort that went into this extensive study. Do this and you got my vote.
Sounds like that guy drew the short end of the stick if he had to be the one to do that. Typically you aren't in a location that needs a parking study done unless someone screwed something up when moving into a location.
