🚨 ELON MUSK: "There's a lot of things that I worry about. The birth rate is very low in almost every country and unless that changes, civilization will disappear. America had the lowest birth rate ever. That was last year. Humanity is dying."

our nation is already overwhelmed with too many people.

Anonymous wrote:What kind of moron makes the decision to have a kid / another kid based on a $5K incentive and some medal? $5K is barely 2 months of daycare. Good luck with that.

And I also assume we're not talking about expanding benefits for existing babies or anything like that?
You want more women to have kids? Here's a great way to ensure it happens: universal healthcare and universal childcare.
My sister quit her job because most of her paycheck was going to daycare fees. They thought it'd ease up as the kids got older, but nope. Afterschool care, summer care, summer camps/programs, etc. Then having to pay someone to transport them to the various programs if they weren't attached to the school.
I'll be honest, I think she's miserable. I think she hates being a fulltime SAHM. I don't know if that's something you can ask, so I don't. I don't have or want kids, so it feels like one of those stay in my lane situations. I hypothesize that the reason why there's such a mommy wine culture is because they're mostly miserable being at home fulltime. But again, no kids, so not my lane, so I'd never voice that opinion/hypothesis out loud IRL.
