Change is more successful for everyone when it happens at a moderated pace rather than ad hoc and intense. Sort of like how the current chaotic, overly-intensive change to the federal government is unnecessarily damaging.

Beyond encouraging more of the same, if there is a value proposition in them being here they can come in legally. We have a border and a process for a reason. That’s the first and fundamental part of a nation state - BORDER.

Yes, I believe in borders but they are already here. They've established careers, and have had children.

So it encourages more immigrants to help illegals arrive, if the government did not want that then they would make it easier for them to come legally.
