Uh, well, those companies and basically every other company on earth have the good sense to avoid politics (let alone allowing their leaders to become known as fringe, right wing kooks). Tesla's brand will probably never fully recover. Tesla's base was liberal Democrats, and those people are Audi.

Angry that I have to worry that my car can be targeted for no f-ing reason having to do with my driving or anything I did. No, I don't owe any of you idiots an apology. I bought a car (not a political token) to drive a to b that gave me the features I wanted for the price I was ok to pay and yes, for the environmental reasons too because I don't like to pollute I don't even like driving and car dependent hell and poor design of DC suburbs even closest ones, but I have no choice. Take a look at the (inflated) sales numbers that came out, they are not buying.

Of course some people might go back, if the brand is still around. Please note that no one was buying German cars when Hitler was still in power and no one bought Japanese cars when they bombed Pearl Harbor. Tesla will first have to make amends for Elmo. Of course, now there are myriad better choices in the market, so why would anyone bother to buy an inferior product AND suffer social stigma?
