The First Amendment does not permit you to trespass or vandalize.
Part of this definitely falls on Columbia. They should have cracked down harder when this was all going on. They chose not to.
But then again we pardoned all the Jan 6 trespassers and vandals, so there is that. I'm of the mind that all of the above should be arrested and charged.
Free speech and freedom of assembly does not extend to violence, trespassing and vandalism. It is the basic "harm principle." Your freedom to swing your fist ends where my nose begins.

So the federal immigration authority just deports/arrests people without due process? Wtaf?
Sigh. No. I can't tell if your reading comprehension is this bad or you are being deliberately obtuse. We are simply saying had Columbia not put up with it in the first place, we likely wouldn't be here. We are not saying what is happening right now is legal.
No you are the one with comprehension issues
PP's point is the one that is important to me a non college going person. I can appreciate that you MAGA are going to be anti Columbia

Blah blah
He has been charged with anything
Hasn't
I know. That's the problem. Columbia let all of this illegal behavior go back when it was happening.
I agree that it appears he is being unlawfully detained at the moment. Does not mean he didn't commit crimes back then. He just wasn't charged with them. I can believe that he needs to leave the US and also believe is not being treated properly at the moment. Both things can be true.
How can you believe this?
He hasn't received due process. He's innocent until proven guilty. That is the government's burden. A once great country believed this.
OJ was aquitted. We all still know he murdered his wife.

Not sure what value a visitor who supports terrorism adds to our country.
He will go before an immigration judge and be deported to his home country. Not going to Guantanamo or anything.
Visitor? Do you know what "green card" means? LPR? Lawful permanent resident?
Yeah - you are not a US citizen so you are visiting and be removed.
Green card holders who engage in activities deemed threatening to U.S. national security can lose their status. This includes involvement in terrorism, espionage, or other activities that undermine the safety of the United States.
Examples of Security Violations
Membership in Terrorist Organizations: Being part of or assisting a terrorist group can lead to immediate revocation and deportation.
Espionage or Treason: Activities related to spying, intelligence gathering for foreign governments, or attempts to overthrow the government are considered severe violations.
Consequences: In addition to deportation, individuals accused of such activities may face criminal prosecution and significant legal penalties.
Seems like this guy checks that box and gets booted.
No big deal.

When will this be enough?
At this point, I'm beginning to think that if a GOP member of Congress was hauled away in handcuffs off the Senate or House floor, his/her colleagues would just sit there stone-faced.
