Did she think she had to stay with him until morning to nurse him before the milk goats went on sale? Did she just not want to live after those amputations?
She basically said that she did not want to live if she would be unable to move freely. There was a comment about having stumps and people comparing her to wild mustangs.
I bet her son would have preferred his mother alive. She goes through all of that just to give up at the end? Utter bs.
It was beyond dumb. She's a highly intelligent and educated woman, witty and funny and that is her #1 quality, not her legs or her physical ability to do anything. It was a missed opportunity to be mentally strong and see her son grow up. Not to mention that people without legs can actually ride horses and do plenty in life. But she was also delirious and not thinking straight, and the Duttons, dummies that they are, didn't speak up to stop this foolishness. Or perhaps they are just so selfish and superficial they were grossed out by the idea of amputation and happier with her dead than than at the ranch needing accomodations.

+1 on and off the train to pick Alex so easy.

It was episodes 7 and 8 for a two hour show
Why did Spencer blame Whitfield for Alex's death? Admittedly, he got what he deserved but the one thing he could not be blamed for was her death.

Anonymous wrote:Such a pointless show. I feel like a sucker for watching the whole stupid series and the spin offs. Ugh!
