They budget for these things 5 years in advance. I remember when Karl F'ing Frisch announced it, my child was in Covid Kindergarten at Shrevewood.

Sorry if not familiar with business properties but the requirements placed on the buyers given the zoning of the property (experience running educational institution and other stuff like that) plus the needed funds to buy and operate, numerous interested parties either didn't qualify or couldn't afford. There was a strong push to keep the school open and purchase or lease it but those groups failed in the end. Makes sense a county wouldn't care about things a private entity would for sustainability via tuitions, and the property is pretty impressive.
