Good lord. You don’t know that there’s “a lot of waste”. Nobody who understands what the government does with its enormous array of grants programs would make such a ludicrously broad statement.

If you look at the following posts from this person he id'd a lot of out of pocket stuff based on DEI and LGBTQ (which is against the EO whether you agree or not) so its not a surprise grants have stopped.

These are cherry picked examples that add up to a minuscule, fraction of a percent of the total funding that has been frozen. These grants also fund hospitals, senior centers, and school programs. Why aren’t those on your list?

Do these add up to the trillions of dollars he’s paused? No.

It's like amputating a leg for a stubbed toe.

It's also without context. There is a reason to provide grant money for clean drinking water in Honduras, but the simpletons in MAGA could never understand.

And again, my commu itycollege students are losing their mind over potential impacts on financial aid. Community college...not the so called elite students. It's beyond.

More like amputating a finger with a papercut and ignoring the necrotizing fasciitis on the leg.

Talk to Congress. They put this stuff in the budget, they can take it out. Not Trump, not Heritage, not you.

Literally LOL. All these people tried so hard to fearmonger in the first admin and it’s obviously not working for this one. You played all your cards already libs! But yes please keep telling ppl that hospitals are closing because of there’s been a pause on funding for 12 hours 😂 I’m sure the dumb ones will eventually vote like you want them to!

I can tell from your trolling you’re scared the damage from all this will actually resonate. Thanks for letting us know.

Please, just like govt shutdown nobody will notice except for the washington swamp that feeds off this trough. Maybe some fake spectacle like putting up a caution come to not enter the Washington mall but the public sees through it.

My brother in law was just about to start a job with a non profit
They let him know today they need to see what is up with their grant money now before he actually starts. He lives in Ohio.

Most of these nonprofits are scams or lobbyists, most should go away if they can fund themselves

Tell me you know nothing about federally funded nonprofit work without telling me you know nothing about federally funded nonprofit work.

Anonymous wrote:I’m a federal grant manager. If this is truly a pause for a couple of weeks to make sure that DEI stuff doesn’t slip through, then the impact is going to be minor. I can’t speak for all agencies, but our awardees can still draw down versus their accounts. It’ll mess with timelines and some new or renewal things will be delayed.

However, if this is a prelude to something more nefarious, where the Executive Branch is trying to supersede the Legislative Branch, then we are in for quite the rollercoaster. I’d hope that the courts would step in there.

NGO employee here, specifically OVW and OVC. How are we supposed to draw down money if there's a freeze on the grant?
