I finally told him to get a job so he works at the Taco Bell. This year he got into JMU but he only wants to take a couple of classes at the community college so he has more time for weed, video games and Taco Bell. He says he doesn’t know why we made him work so hard in high school and prefers his new lifestyle.
How could you just let that happen?
He is an adult in charge of his own choices

Northeastern chases SAT scores like it's crack.
It's not looking for fit, it's trying to elevate its prestige through higher average SAT scores.
It is a good safety school for a well statted out kid.
Only about a third of Northeastern admits submit an SAT score.
Another 1/9th submitted an ACT score.
The upside is that you are going to be going to school with other driven talented students that lost the admissions lottery.
Disagree - it's not a safety for anyone.
Disagree - Northeastern looks for fit, in other words, students who are happy to attend and stay.

Agree - they mostly like high stat kids.

1560 uva in state. WL or rejected every other T25. Asian male. Loves uva!! 2023 was the hardest graduation year for our high school for anyone without hooks
