I have a 2013 daughter who is a strong player on the first team at a small club. We're trying to determine where she has the best chance of making the leap to an ECNL team for next season. The statement below is almost entirely uninformed, but it seems logical to me. Call it my hypothesis. I'm curious if others agree or disagree and if so why.

"It will be easier for 2013 girls not associated with PWSI, VSA, or Herndon to make the U13 ECNL team at VSA than it will be for 2013 girls not affiliated with Loudoun, McLean, Arlington, or Bethesda to make the ECNL team at NVA, FVU, Arlington, or Bethesda, respectively, because the current 2013G Pre-ECNL players at Loudoun, McLean, Arlington, and Bethesda, on average, are significantly stronger than the Pre-ECNL players at PWSI, VSA, and Herndon.

I'm honestly not trolling. ECNL (and GA) ID sessions are already starting to conflict with one another and she needs to decide which clubs to prioritize, knowing that she's at a disadvantage coming from a small club.

A PP said VDA practices at Haymarket and Woodbridge. Is Howison Park the Woodbridge location? Where in Haymarket? Long Park? Trying to figure out what the commute would like.

Yes, VDA training is either at Howison or Long Park.

I'd imagine AS will be the 2013 coach again, he's a gem.

Bethesda also in the mix. Definitely behind McLean and SYS and ahead of Arlington.

Not sure about Loudoun. Team looked flawed in the Fall, but lots of chatter about adding players mid-season and missing players for various games.

VDA doesn't exist at 2013 so not sure how you handicap them. If it's based on their feeder clubs, the team will struggle.
