I wanted to inquire if the times from the recent meeting have been uploaded to the SWIMS 3.0 database on USA Swimming. We're eager to review the official times and ensure they are recorded in the national system. Could you please confirm if this has been done, or provide an update on when we might expect to see them? Thank you for your assistance.

Being polite doesn't make you sound any less insane. The Marlins submitted the meet files to PVS, the LSC. The times are both in your swimmers record with their team, on the PVS website, and in meet mobile. The only person who can submit times to SWIMS is the LSC times officer. Incidentally the current PVS times officer happens to be the meet director for the NCAP invitational that's going on right now- she's a little busy. I can't imagine a legitimate reason for why you need these results in SWIMS so quickly- if you have one- you could try emailing the times officer- her contact information is on the PVS website- plus that will help spread the identity of the crazy parent around PVS a little more.
Thank you for your response. However, as someone relatively new to all of this, I find it a bit confusing to understand who is responsible for what. I was particularly surprised to learn that the LSC Chief Timing Officer is the only role authorized to upload data into SWIMS 3.0. That seems quite restrictive, though I imagine there’s substantial reconciliation taking place before the data is approved for the system.
I want to clarify that my inquiry was not meant to come across as unreasonable. While I don’t believe your remarks about "insanity" were warranted, I will take the high road and apologize if my tone came off as offensive. That was certainly not my intent. Thank you again for your time and explanation..

I assume you’re joking at this point? This isn’t reasonable. It can take weeks for meets to get through SWIMS and is beyond the PM’s control after they submit it. And why does it matter? If your swimmer would be highly ranked, you can figure out their ranking anyway. It feels like you’re either being intentionally provocative on DCUM or just going after the Marlins for the sake of it at this point.
I’m not criticizing the Marlins; my goal is simply to gain clarity on processing times. I must say, however, that I find your tone inappropriate. It’s crucial that we approach these conversations with dignity and respect for all participants. I hold the Marlins in high regard and thoroughly enjoyed the swim meet. My intention was purely to request an update. Framing my reasonable inquiry as criticism feels unwarrantedly confrontational.

Renting the pool alone is 25,000 dollars. No one is getting rich off this meet.
Actually I think theft clubs that host these meets make a lot of money- the splash and facilities fees cover the rentals. My swimmer has Graduated but when we went to winter classic we didn’t pay a spectator fee, but we had to pay a meet program.
You can pull up the financials and you will see that Bill and Barry are doing VERY well. They love their jobs, but they are also raking it by hosting all the meets they do (invitationals and IMX, etc). They also make more money internally with team training trips. They sell a lot of merch to families, etc. Hopefully they share some of that balance statement by paying their coaches well, that I do not know.
Oh my lord. Find me this information please, cause you are sorely wrong.
PP- I am an accountant, and I served on a board of my swimmer's club team (not the marlin's). if run properly, invitational meets are money makers for the clubs. The officials/timers are volunteers (unlike other club sports). They only provide meals to volunteers. Each participant is paying between $80 and $100 (entries and relays to participate), the timeline showed 455 swimmers this weekend. They make a killing off of pre order merch and any concessions. The club should be clearing at least 15 to 20K for hosting a weekend meet, maybe even more.

Just saw the results pop up on SwimCloud… the meet name is correct but does the “Fairland Aquatics Swim Team” logo appear next to the meet name for anyone else’s swimmer? 😂
