I don't understand why the IP address would say Beauvoir? He has not worked there in years. Is it possible someone could use your email address if they have your password to engage in these activities? I am not saying it is not true but I do not understand how the IP is linked to Beauvoir if he does not work there?

It’s one of many IP addresses from which he accessed his Discord accounts over the years. I think the undercover officer’s affidavit lists the Beauvoir IP address as the one from which he created one of the accounts.

Could someone else have access to his computers? I know a lot of people who have office and home computers that many people use.

I think Discord is a gaming platform or social media site so it’s unclear what he was doing at that time. I hope that an investigation reveals the full extent of all of this - he is only facing 10 years for the current charge.

I read the UO’s affidavit and there are about 20 things linking him directly to the accounts, including a lot of selfies.

I am confused by what you mean by this. We know what HE was doing there and a known issue on Discord. This is why they monitor it.

Correction. Linkedin profile says third grade teacher at Beauvoir 2005-2010, then part of administration to 2016. 11 years!!! and no email from Beauvoir.

BVR did send a letter to our families and gave the accurate years of employment - BVR parent.

Well I didn't get it. And my child was at Beauvoir at the time he was a classroom teacher.

Article doesn't say that. It says the FBI was able to trace the ISP number to computers at the schools. I am not surprised. He may have used the school computers to avoid the chance that his wife or kids would find anything on the computers used at home.

Likely he kept a school laptop when he left. Just for the purpose. Not great cybersecurity there, I guess.

If a Beauvoir IP address was identified, couldn't that just mean he was using his own laptop on Beauvoir's wireless network to access his discord account? In other words, he didn't have to be using a Beauvoir computer. Same situation at NCRC.

I think that is right. I think the school IP address would also be there if he was using a mobile device, but the affidavit specifically mentions mobile device logins so there must be a difference. He mentions being at / finishing up work in one exchange.
