Yes, I'll support my kids and help them with their activities. I'm not going to do their activities for them. For my child who plays soccer, other kids did privates outside of club training. When my child asked, I was fine to pay for it and chauffer to the sessions. I'm not going to look for the "pro trainer". I'm not setting the nutrition regimen for an athlete for them.
Not sure what you're getting at? Sure, I do all the things you state above. I don't consider that driving the bus. We must have different parenting styles.

Our club nor coach notified us. We received the email and that was about it.
That's been the experience i hear as well. And if the organization has a wrong email or a typo, your child may miss an opportunity.

First round based mostly on coach/club recommendation. (Some say politics but the coach/club will lose credibility quickly if they keep sending duds based on politics.) Second round based on what the US Soccer scouts saw at the first round ID session. They recorded the scrimmages from the first session with a drone and shared the video with the parents. Some kids clearly stood out and they were the ones who made second round.

Mommy and Daddy are way too involved in everything for teenagers.
My kid is still 12. Parents who leave their 12 year old on their own or entirely in the hands of their coaches are out of their minds in my book. No one involved except me has my kid's best interests as their top priority.
This doesn't apply to you as PP said TEENAGERS. Also, USYNT isn't look at 12 year olds.

100%. by keeping the info close to the chest, they create an unlevel playing field and plays into the trap they are playing favoritism.

For USYNT or any other truly elite soccer selection only program, if you don't know how it works, your kid isn't swimming in that pool.
