My middle schooler says as long as he hands in the homeworks he will get a 100% on his math homework sub-score. I don't expect the teacher to grade 30+ kids' homeworks, but the incentives to be meticulous about homework are pretty low.

The worst thing about about MCPS is how they act t like the most strident parents represent all parents and instead of recognizing most parents are reasonable and aren't at BOE meetings they focus their energies on placating the crazy angry parents.

Like those ones who appear every few weeks and say that teens end up rain damaged from having to go to school so early? Or the ones who want to ban books? Or bring back the virtual academy?

My kid's MCPS school is pretty strict about this already. Maybe it's school specific.

No phones allowed in my son's MCPS Middle School from morning bell to dismissal.

But let's be honest.....parents have full use of Parental controls to guarantee it isnt used during school hours for unwarranted activities/apps, they just don't bother to learn how to use them most of the time.
