I agree that the PP should've kept that in mind, and that full field would require more team depth.Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:A great day at Fall Brawl - with SR and Potomac in the finals after dominating the competition all day. True but keep in mind this is 7v7. Full field would require more team depth. Potomac has probably the best senior class they have seen in years so we will see if they can capitalize on that this year.

I think parents cared more about Fall Brawl than the girls did.

thanks for the scout video.
Dominating seems like an overstatement given some of the scores.

Stone Ridge plays Bishop Ireton in Pool A. Depending on injuries and winter sports, other commitments, etc., both could have 7 D1 commits on the field. Stone Ridge has the star power and depth, however, to win this one comfortably. Other than BI, SR has all VHSL Publics in their pool, and while they have some good programs in there, they should roll through to the final against the winner of Pool B.
In Pool B, we will get to see Visitation, Potomac, PVI, and Holy Child play each other, and a couple of publics (Woodson and Riverside). Visi and Potomac both have a ton of talent, especially in the Senior and Junior classes, and their head to head match up should decide the pool winner if they both bring their full squads, although it's basketball season for several players.
No Good Counsel, SSSAS, or SJC at this one, and rosters won't include all of the top players, but we will get an early look at 4 of the top 5 in the ISL, and a couple of upper tier WCAC teams this Saturday. Love Fall Brawl.
Any other predictions for the top division or other brackets?

I can tell you it goes like this. My DD plays for X club and I paid a lot in club fees, I pay a lot in tuition. I could give more but I just don't understand why my DD doesn't get to play more.

If a parent did this at my DDs school the child would probably be benched the rest of her time at the school with no explanation. Parents that complain - or hint at concerns about team placement or playing time - will find the coaches retaliate against their daughters. Has absolutely happened at our school.
