Posters really shouldn't get sucked into what nationality Harris is/isn't in this thread. It's meant to distract and normalize a truly awful performance by Trump today. He was embarrassingly bad, even by his already low standards.

People didn't think it relevant that Obama was half white and/or came from a family with a history of slave holding.

I think this appearance was totally purposeful- he wants to make himself and his outrageous behavior the story again because no one is paying attention to him; it’s all about Kamala being popular and Vance f*****g a couch. He knows that is a losing recipe and that the winning recipe should be the media going on and on about him.

Why? Unless you are exclusively in a very homogenous environment, we all identify different parts of ourselves in different situations. When I travel internationally, I'm American. When I was in a graduate seminar in a male dominated field, I was female. When I'm with my husband's extended family, I'm an English speaker.
It's not that complicated-- nor offensive.
