The GOP is the creepy guy from your freshman dorm who routinely asked you (and every other woman) if you were ovulating, and who insisted women were actually much happier back when they couldn’t have their own bank accounts.

These aren’t quirks. These are WEIRD people who want to tell others what to do and how to be. Quirky people are harmless and endearing. WEIRD people have harmful behaviors that hurt others. Does the GOP really not know the difference between “you do you” openness and seething “you’ll do as I say” imposition on the most fundamental and private aspects of a person’s life?

But I also agree with Walz' point that the way people talk about Trump does give him and his followers power they don't deserve.
