But they are athletic and don't give up. That is worth a lot.

I get your point. Both previous and current teams are skilled at soccer, but the younger players simply have more energy. And overall I agree that the quality of soccer in this tournament has been lacking across the board not just the US but all teams generally. Not sure why.

I mean…are people disappointed at the scoreline? I’m very confused. 1 still counts for 1 right? And zero still counts as zero right? Do they need to hang 5 goals by the first half, followed by a solid crushing 10 in the second half?

This isn’t Kindergarten rec…they’re playing the best teams in the world.

I think a lot of people went up or to the sides in order to avoid the afternoon sun.

Alex M used to be able to, then she couldn’t.
Who knew you could win soccer games by being more athletic? That's not what I keep hearing

The attendance at this bronze game is atrocious - which I totally get. 3rd place games are the worst.

Just wait until they find out that teams that score the majority of their goals in the first half of a soccer match lose more often than teams that score the majority of their goals in the second half of matches. It will blow their minds!

Agreed, lots to small things, mistakes and personal to complain about, but overall the US team looks like it hasn’t even gotten going yet - scary potential.

They have not played well. I've lost count of how many crosses have bounced away without anyone to receive them. They've been mostly sloppy on offense. Japan couldn't put together an attack and had one shot on goal, not much competition there. Germany played just as bad as we did but we outlasted them.

Naeher has done a great job. Girma, Smith and Rodman had moments that saved the day but there hasn't been a cohesive composed team this whole tournament.

+1

They outlasted those bulky Germans and got lucky with that really nice goal but they pulled through. I hope they have a better strategy with Brazil.

Naomi Girma is a rockstar and I can't wait to see her become captain.

That is all.
