Original commenter, Brown is where mine is heading, felt like a middle ground. Kids are happy and busy on quad but I still feel it has a strong academic air about it. We went to admitted day at Cornell and while there are many things to like, it just felt tense. Makes me wonder if that’s what you were referring to as well!

I made the initial comment about T10’s feeling different and I actually did not intend it in that way at all. I am a FIT above all else person so mentioned the intensity current (huge fit factor in my opinion). I personally would have hated it, but wasn’t smart enough anyway to need to concern myself with that dilemma, my kid likes it. I believe kids thrive where they best fit, that’s all I meant, no larger statement intended on outcomes or prestige values. I don’t believe in that, just purely surprised me how different schools could ‘feel’ that were so closely ranked (as silly as rankings can be year to year based on metrics).
