We don't publish admissions data on individual rounds...but we have recently seen ED2 increase in popularity among first-time applicants and deferred students, and we generally balance our admitted students to reflect the pool overall in many ways.
I was on at an in-person gathering for ED1 admits. This was discussed by many parents for a while. It was 5%.

So you are confirming at least 8 have been admitted ED at Sidwell and are headed to Chicago this fall?
Yes. I am a new poster, but can confirm at least 7 from Sidwell (total of ED and ED2) to Chicago this year

I really thought the Big3 kids would spread out their ED2 applications more this year. Chicago is shakier in the rankings and people can't easily claim it as a top 10 school based on even a single ranking source. Both Hopkins and Northwestern have ED2 and are ranked higher than Chicago in USNWR and elsewhere.
Have the kids who have applied ED2 there over the last couple of years had regrets or been generally happy with their decision?
Are these “second tier” students? Earlier in this thread it said top tier are not the ones that attend?
