I was at P&P the other day, so I flipped through a few pages of this book. I was stunned to see the fictional US principal’s last name was the same as Mamadou’s real last name. Why not use a different last name in the book?!?

Restocked at Politics and Prose. Heard it sold out the first week it was there. Harrison is Bryan, right?

Sidwell is getting a little bump in publicity lately. In addition to this book, Sidwell was mentioned in that new ESPN documentary series featuring Kiki Rice, Caitlyn Clark, and Kamila Cardoso. They dedicated several minutes to Kiki’s time at Sidwell, including current footage of her practicing in the gym with her dad. They didn’t even mention the name of the other two player’s high schools.

its obvious that some of the characters are based on real teachers and admin, but I want to know about the parents lol

Did you ask P&P how many books do they receive when they restock?

Ok dear, more woke crap. Not interested

You don't even know what "woke" means.
Idiot

Woke is so dumb and uncomplicated that you think it has legitimacy. Everything seen through the myopic prism of race. As dumb and anti-intellectual as seeing everything through the lens of oppressed and oppressor or thesis and antithesis or capitalist have/have-nots. It’s a all a re-hash of the same discredited nonsense. Maybe that shit works in wakanda or peking or stalingrad.

They probably only had 5 copies.

Lol!

But on a serious note, I’m going to try to check it out from the library tomorrow. I won’t buy the book, but I will read it.

Verb tense mismatches, incorrect word choices, clunky writing at an early collegiate level…where was her editor? There may be a story here but this “writer” should not quit her day job.

weird do they not teach you how to write at Sidwell?
