I know a high powered career woman who did this. I was in a casual relationship with her. I wanted our relationship to be more serious. Unfortunately for me, she eventually chose a very dumb, blue collar guy who made almost no money. She said she didn't like those things sometimes, but she also clearly likes the fact that she could dominate him. He was athletic and good looking but also extremely nice and did lots of acts of service at a level nobody with a professional job would ever do. He also never complained about her mood swings.


Too often in a relationship with someone who is more equal professionally and financially, it is the woman who is going to be forced to give up or downshift her career. As a result, I know a number of successful women who deliberately decided to date and marry someone whose career would not compete with theirs.

An ugly guy can land a hot woman if he is rich - no problem. An unattractive, successful woman landing a hot guy is almost unheard of. That's the reality.

Does he know how to fix stuff?

Really though, the issue is that the man who is a Wal-mart cashier isn’t usually going to want to date a woman who makes a lot of money. When there is that big of an income disparity, the lower earning person is supposed to revolve their entire lives (work, friends, family, kids, hobbies) around the higher earner’s career. Men really don’t tolerate the crap the way that women do.

I'd be interested in seeing men's attractiveness rated by men. The delusion would be epic. I'll never forget being 22 and having some balding 40-something year old with deep crow's feet tell me men age better than women. Men truly believe that men look better as they age and that attractiveness, not cold hard cash transactions, are why younger women tolerate older men.

Women can be attractive in a million ways, men are often outright ugly/present poorly or (the vast majority of us) are a bland smear of not ugly not hot. There are a tiny percentage of us that exceed that baseline and they typically are well aware of it by adulthood.

No, instead, the men preferred to keep us at home for marital rape, which wasn't outlawed in this country until the 1970s. Our husbands could also beat us with impunity. I was reading the list from Epstein files, and literally it's a collection of high profile ugly men. Not of them are remotely f...able. No wonder they had to create a sex trafficking system to get laid.

The only two who were remotely attractive from the files were Kimbal Musk and Serge Brin but they didn't seem to be part of it.

You may be right. But my peers don't fit what you describe. I have sons, nephews, cousins, etc., ranging from teenagers to their 30s, but none of them express any anger about not getting women/girls. They seem to have no problem with the opposite sex and I can barely keep up with who they are dating.


Same. The men seem fine. It’s the women shrieking into the wind who seem to be hanging on by a thread, mentally. Even though they actually are doing pretty well by objective standards.
