+1 on Nick. I’ll leave it at that. Our differences regarding attractiveness, character, intelligence, and personality are fun to read. I've watched from season 1, but I aged out a bit in the last five years or so. Sometimes I’ll pick a season just for something light. Watched the Golden season and never again.The wedding episode. YIKES! But it was how I found out the bachelor is Joey. I really like him! I think he’s very handsome and mature. He’s sweet, a tiny bit insecure, and unsure. You don’t give him much credit, he’s not dim at all. Great listener with the ability to dissect what (someone like Maria) is struggling to communicate.

Prediction: Kelsey & Maria final two. Maria is uniquely pretty. Her brows are natural! In fact, most of the women are natural looking, not overly done, except for the sisters and a couple of others. Other than that weird bully girl and her sidekick, these women are impressive, some more intellectually.

I don't think he's the be all and end all, but he does have experience being a lead on Bachelor and experience being a contestant. So, whatever your complaints are -- he does know SOMETHING about what it's like to be a lead. And it makes sense to me that Joey telling women that they should relax b/c they are going to be in the top 4 or 6 is not going to be comforting for women who are thinking about marrying him.

I’m a big fan of Nick’s podcast. He has the most successful podcast of any prior Bach contestant and is super real in his perspective. He’s pretty emotionally mature in his takes. I like him and look forward to his podcast each week, even if his fiancée is 18 yrs his junior

I don't think he's the be all and end all, but he does have experience being a lead on Bachelor and experience being a contestant. I listen to Nick Viall's podcast off and on. He thought that Joey was telling different women, especially Maria, that they should not fret because they MIGHT be the final one. Like being among the final 4-6 contestants is comforting. Nick says Joey is not internalizing that each woman who is fretting IS ACTUALLY wanting to BE THE FINAL woman. They already have their hearts in it and they are visualizing being engaged to him. Joey telling them that they are in the top 4 is cold comfort and suggests that Joey doesn't really understand how invested the women are at this point because HE must not have been all that invested in getting engaged to Charity.

That makes sense to me.

I don't see Joey having much emotion for any of the women. Past bachelors or bachelorettes have either been gushing over a couple of guys or freaking out that they are falling for more than one person. Joey seems very chill... emotionally polite, but distant. I don't think Joey is actually envisioning himself getting married or engage. He seems to be looking for someone to date.

I don't usually say this about the couples before the show ends, or even when it does end.... but I see a break up within 12 mons. Joey's not the kind of 28 yr old who has marriage on the brain. Maybe when he's 35, he'll be down for it. There is nothing about his history or his current life that says, "Let's settle down, buy a house and have kids." He can't even "settle down" to one city.

Speaking of which ---- we really don't know ANYTHING about Joey other than he plays tennis and he is a decent listener. We know nothing about his goals, he doesn't seem to have a job or own a home. He's not attached to any city. Who IS he? Right now he's just a blank slate for the women to project their imaginations onto.


Nick is an emotionally stunted man so I would take his “thoughts“ on this with a grain of salt! He is well hated with the bachelor kingdom.


You are about 10-12 years out of date in your assessment. He has a very successful podcast and if you listened to it, I think you'd find that he's grown a LOT.


No, this is current thinking of many! If he has progress so much, why did he just unlike all of these pictures of Maria on Instagram? Ones that he previously liked? He’s a hot mess.
