Dumb post. We all know the forecasts are unpredictable which is why the call shouldn’t be made at 3pm the day before.

Truly I am not happy with them, either. I don't get how they keep calling 3 inches of snow when the temp is above freezing. But also, APS should know these calls are often wrong. So often wrong. So they can make wait to make calls, cancel for shorter periods of time, etc. I also feel bad for the W&L kids supposed to be having a play tonight. What a waste.
Yikes. Canceling theater shows is a huge deal. So much work goes into it and very few performances. Sorry for those kids and families.

No way that is true for referees, gym monitors, etc. I am sure those are all hourly people who lose money when these cancellations happen.

As a follow-up to our message on Friday, January 19, all Arlington Soccer indoor clinics on Sunday, January 21 are CANCELED.
Although APS has decided to open buildings on Sunday, the Department of Parks and Recreation, who provides Arlington Soccer with permits for the facilities, has notified us that they are unable to confirm the support and facility readiness needed to open the gyms.
Again, unfortunately, Arlington Soccer will not be holding any indoor clinics at APS Facilities on Sunday, January 21.
Great work, APS.

Staffing is an issue everywhere. You going to volunteer to help with snow removal, etc?
I don't think that's what they're saying. It looks like no one is answering the phone at APS to confirm to DPR that they will have the specific buildings open on Sunday. I don't know why you're acting like APS didn't mess this up.
