Yes. Generally 90% and up will qualify for honors classes.

What are the chances for an academic scholarship to DeMatha? 80 on language subtest, but 94 composite. From previous posts, it sounded like kids needed a 95+.

You might get a few dollars but there is a limit to what any kid will get in merit there or at similar local Catholics. Kids I'm familiar with in recent years have been offered 3-6K merit by the local Catholics with low 90s and up scores. Obv grades and other things factor in probably. And priorities could change year to year so take with a grain of salt but if I had to bet: 2-4K/yr.

You'll have more luck cutting the cost with financial aid if you demonstrate need.

Thanks for this. $2-3k off the price would be helpful and in line with what I had heard would be the case if test scores are high enough.

We got ours in the mail Fri. Tested at BI and applying there too (the results were mailed by BI in their envelope—I initially thought it would come directly from testing company).

89% national percentile for composite score
Catholic family
K-8 Catholic school
A/B grades
Test prep was the school’s test prep during the fall plus additional tutoring

Now another month until decisions come in and continuing to hope for the best…

Here goes, chew on this DCUM:
59% national percentile for composite score
Catholic family
No Catholic school
A grades
No Test prep
Athletic recruit

Totally geting in, am I right!?

Will a 97% on the language section qualify a student for Honors ELA in high school?

DCPS kid, A student.

90% composite.
high 90's reading, mid 90's quant/math. Language subtest really pulled down the composite score.
