The process generally takes 6-9 months before someone is charged (if someone is charged).

To send your child off to school and they don’t come home right before Thanksgiving on top it. This is one of those nightmare scenarios for a parent — the kids were in a cross walk with an adult in a school zone and still got killed. How do you even prevent something like this, you can’t just put them in a bubble.

Maryland drivers never have accountability, so they don't GAF. I live in VA, but the overwhelming majority of cars that don't stop for me as a pedestrian, have MD plates. Like 95+ percent.
Ah, the old DCUM “Maryland drivers” rant.
What do all these Maryland drivers look like? You’re a pedestrian, so you’re able to see them. Anything else they have in common besides Maryland tags? Of course there is. You just won’t say it out loud. Because when DCUM says “Maryland drivers”, they’re really talking about a certain group of drivers. But they’re afraid to say it out loud. So they just say “Maryland drivers”.

You mean like tractor trailers that deliver the food you eat to the grocery stores?
Or gas tankers?
Or trash trucks?
Or school buses.
Or Metro buses?
Or Fedex, Amazon, UPS trucks?
Etc., etc.
Ridiculous.![]()
Most of the those vehicles require a special license or training to drive. Which might be a decent solution to the large commuting vehicle problem.
