Seriously though. A fence. We avoid yards as much as possible and pick up. But until a dog learns how to use the indoor flush I’m pretty sure they’re going to pee outside at some point, and not on the pavement.

I used to have a frequent visitor that left me a present in front of my front door every day. I couldn’t believe it but the dog loved to shit in the same place every damn day. We have a neigborhood Facebook group since we live in an HOA. I posted that my camera is now pointed directly in that spot and I would post a video every time someone lets their dog shit in front of my door. Hasn’t happened since. I guess you all keyboard warriors aren’t so brave after all.

Probably. There are strawberries in our front yard that had a cute kid-painted sign that said "larla's strawberry patch". And a dog owner let their dog take a poop right on the berries. It's fenced off now.
And there was a lively neighborhood listserv discussion because some dog owner let their dog poop on someone's front porch and didn't clean it up. The home owner didn't see the poop, stepped in it and dragged poop all around their house including the rugs.
I mean, how does the homeowner know it wasn't raccoon poop or opossum poop or cat poop from feral cats? Does he have a ring camera?
The fact that you think that deer or raccoon shit looks anything like dog shit just shows your ignorance.
Can you readily identify poop that has been stepped on and mashed into a rug? That’s quite a talent.

It’s not offensive. It kills the grass, leaving little brown spots all over the yard.
I agree, and I have a dog. Let's not pretend what comes out of them is innocuous. It stinks and kills plants. Please be mindful of other people's properties.
Does any animal pee kill the grass, or is it only dog pee?
