It's going into someone's pocket. Meanwhile since the movie came out, Ballard has apparently quit the biz of investigating human trafficking.
1. I’m glad they aren’t throwing their profits into the ocean. Is that what you would do?
2. Why are you against paying people a fair wage for their very successful work? Do you know how much goes back to Operation Underground Railroad? No, your little brain has no clue that no doubt much of these incredible profits will enable the organization to save many children from getting systematically tortured and raped.
3. No, Mr. Ballard has NOT quit his work. He has definitely changed the nature of his work since the whole world now knows who he is. He can obviously no longer work undercover.
Your hate is outrageous.
You know, it’s so outrageous, that we’re beginning to question your motive. Let that sink in.

I know someone involved in the film and he is shady AF. I doubt the rest of them are as suspect, but in his case, it makes me wonder if he is involved in this movement in order to get access to under age kids.
Allegations of misused donor funds and misconduct toward women from within Operation Underground Railroad. https://www.vice.com/en/article/qj8j3v/operation-underground-railroad-criminal-investigation-human-trafficking-tim-ballard-jim-caviezel-qanon
But I guess it's somehow "hateful" to report the news or speak the truth.

CONGRATULATIONS to all who brought it together!! And EVERYONE who has seen it.
Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:Can someone succinctly explain the conspiracy theory about the movie being made (if it's not really a movie about human trafficking)?
It's a movie about human trafficking, it pretends to be based on real life but it's actually heavily fictionalized, overdramatized, and has many misportrayals of the nature of actual human trafficking. Also it sends some bad and ill-advised messages, like taking the law into ones own hands (for example has scenes where the main character goes into the jungle alone, where he kills someone to retrieve trafficked children etc). It also makes it primarily about trafficking children when in fact adults are also trafficked for sex, for slavery and other purposes. And some of the people involved in making/producing the film are QAnon or QAnon-adjacent, as are most of the people doing the heaviest promoting of the film - they are using it to further their sick and twisted conspiracy theories and blood libel of how some "global cabal" of "political elites, billionaires, hollywood" are supposedly drinking childrens blood or "sacrificing them in satanic rituals" or extracting some kind of mythical "adenochrome" elixir from their bodies in order to achieve immortality.
It's hard to be succinct about something so deranged without showing how deranged it is, but that was my stab at it.
Again, I think we ALL agree that human traffickers need to be cracked down on and put behind bars, but the QAnon conspiracy theories are really over-the-top and are likely to cause more harm than good. After all it's already driven people to shoot up pizza parlors and other things.
What will cause more harm is the democrats who object and criticize this movie. Most of people start questioning why would anyone support child trafficking?
That’s exactly what we’re talking about. People questioning some of the facts and methods presented in this film and the opinions of its creators and stars DOES NOT MEAN that those people “support child trafficking.”
Last weekend on I-287 in central Jersey I was driving behind a pickup truck with a giant sticker covering the entire back window that said “SAVE A DEER, HUNT A PEDOPHILE” and the pickup bed contained a human skeleton. Just because I think that person has gone around the bend doesn’t mean that I support pedophiles.
Do you question the facts in Mission Impossible? Because this movie is a fiction too.

Have the producers called this movie a documentary? NO.
It’s a film based on a true story.
Haters need to stop making up stuff.
There is a guy named Ballard who works on human trafficking. And human trafficking happens, and is horrible. That much is true.
But the rest, that Ballard was some kind of big deal CIA type clandestine operative, the central plot of a brother and sister lured by a photo shoot, that Ballard crossed uncharted jungles solo and fought and killed terrorists and cartel bosses singlehandedly to rescue children is complete fiction and totally made-up. Why do you hate the truth so much?
No one goes to the movies to see a middle aged dad doing dishes and coaching little league.
They pay to see a movie where a middle aged dad rescues kittens from a dangerous jungle crawling with tigers.

Anonymous wrote:I don’t really know what to believe about this movie or its intentions but I have seen a lot of discourse from right wingers “if you critique this movie you are a pedophile who supports child sex trafficking” and that makes me very uncomfortable.
I also thought the movie Taken was pretty bad but I was not accused of supporting sex trafficking for not liking it and not encouraging others to see it. Around the time it came out I was heavily involved in volunteer work and it frustrated me how the movie portrayed trafficking when that’s just not what it looks like most of the time. When I ask fans of Sound of Freedom why this movie is different or better (both depict heavily sensationalized versions of how trafficking works that bears little resemblance to the majority of trafficking) they are not able to articulate it.
So I think the title of this post is very apt. Yes, indeed, what are they up to? Lots of plausible deniability here but it’s all very strange.
