But no rec is up. They send an email out but play hide the ball. Weird.
Per the board docs agenda for Nov 20 meeting, staff recommendation is for Scenario B
The weird thing is they are keeping that small bit of FS just N of 123 and W of Old Dominion. It would have made more sense just to have everyone in that tiny bulge move to Churchill Rd as others nearby do.

heh. thanks.
I do think it's a reasonable plan. it doesn't move the walkers. I think operational concerns like buses play a huge role.
I think bus issues are a short-term issue that can be addressed much more quickly and cheaply than building additional facility capacity, so while a concern/factor, not a primary one over long-term planning.
I also know a couple families in the “walk zone” across Pimmit Run from the school and they admit few of them actually walk. Most drive and drop off, so I don’t think that should be a major consideration.

Uhh, no. FCPS staff proposed not to move anyone to Westgate because it’s one of the main elementary schools serving growing Tysons, along with Spring Hill.

This is not surprising. They will turn it back on if someone complains, but they don’t look at the comments anyway.
