There are consequences to loudly and repeatedly declaring yourself a "sanctuary city."
What is with this stale talking point?
He was ARRESTED AND CHARGED. Sanctuary does not mean you won't get ARRESTED AND THROWN IN JAIL just like any other criminal.
Evidently, he has been in the US for 10 years.
I can only wonder how many other women he raped while here.
If he weren't in the US, these women would not be just another rape statistic.
This, obviously.
It's interesting, because when there is an incident of gun violence, the progressive liberals all come out loudly and forcefully in favor of banning guns.
But, when there is an incident of violence perpetrated by an undocumented immigrant, there are no calls in favor of limiting illegal immigration.
Such odd, inconsistent logic.
Rapes can (and do) happen without the involvement of illegal immigrants, but gun deaths cannot happen without guns. Your logic is like saying we should crack down on people with brown hair if there is a brown-haired murderer.
Rapes by illegal immigrants cannot happen without illegal immigrants.

I think he must be really mentally disturbed to assault someone under circumstances where he was so likely to be caught. I do wonder about the circumstances of how he got here….some of the children that come as unaccompanied minors (or even with parent a) are raped by the coyote gangs. He seems like a really damaged person. It’s sad to think he probably had a mom at some point that thought she could make a better life for him getting him here. It’s also sad that he will prbwvlt serve a couple years in prison here, then be deported back to El Salvador where he will assault more women.
What would you like to see happen in this case?
I believe it's standard to get him some mental health treatment. Release him. Let him rape someone else. Get him some mental health treatment. Let him wander out of the treatment facility. Rape someone. Then, buy him a tent and send him to Union Station.

God, this makes me so sad. And angry. If he raped one this week and another last week, god knows how many women’s lives he’s ruined. We’re not even safe in broad daylight, walking with a friend.
