GenZ seems to be fixated on Trump. My never-in-a-million-years-will-i-be-political kid, is all up in Trump's legal woes. Also, on NYT there is a convo with GenZ liberal women on mental health and politics, and they were all following Trump's legal morass. Much more so than me or any of my friends.
They're astonished and afraid he'll run (and win) from prison.
I haven't read about him saying that to Hillary, and it doesn't sound like the Uncle Joe we know. But he probably would have beaten Trump in 2016.
It's not just Gen Z fixated on Trump. It's a lot of us who are shocked and appalled about how the party that previously only demanded we all believe in flat earths and creationism and taking away women's rights and healthcare for as many people as possibly, could have become even more stupid and cruel. We've seen how bad it can get. Stop the bleeding, then you can work on everything else.
The uncle Joe bit was a facade and a thin one at that. He isn’t particularly nice to the press and has a history of being kind of an elitist jerk. He went to an elite high school. He has definitely enriched himself and his entire family by currying favor with unsavory people like the Chinese. And so yes, I 100% believe he was a total jerk to Hillary. He is a jerk with an Aw shucks facade that is a total load of bs.
Well, it's him or Trump. And anyone who thinks there's an equivalence has definitely taken the brown acid.
Equivalence? No but those unwilling to acknowledge Biden’s flaws or those of the party will continue to wonder why people give him grief or not fully support him when he’s in office.
Here, let me solve your conundrum.
Trump - fascist career criminal who would happily destroy this country to make a buck
Biden - not Trump.
Vote accordingly.
Exhibit A of why we have lost membership and loyalty.
Can you explain this please? Because I have no idea WTH you’re talking about with “losing membership and loyalty”.
Who is this “we” you’re talking about?
Just because people may support Joe in the election doesn’t mean he will have won over the hearts and minds of independents who are the largest voting block. I meet so many jaded, disenfranchised, formerly rah-rah Dems, who hate trump. Some were Bernie Bros and others are just fed up and are looking for centrist candidates beyond &0 year olds.

Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:If Trump is the Republican nominee, as seems likely, I'm pretty sure a toaster oven would defeat him. But realistically, a toaster option is not an option. And no mainstream Democrat is going to challenge Biden at this point. The Kennedy 15 percent thing is a blip of background noise. Low information voters momentarily distracted by the Kennedy name. But this Kennedy is an extremist lunatic. This is the one that should have been lobotomized. Really don't think a campaign based upon opposition to the Measles, Mumps and Rubella vaccine is going to win over the hearts and minds of Americans.
That being said, a Biden-Harris ticket is not without risks. No one in their 80s is in their mental and physical prime. This is not the Joe Biden of the Obama years. The decline has been visible for everyone - the way he shuffles, the way he speaks, the frequent bouts of momentary confusion. And that's only going to get worse. He's 80. The risks of a bad fall or a stroke are incredibly high. It's the nature of life. He's already exceeded the average lifespan of an American man by three years. And if something does happen over the next two years - God forbid - chaos ensues.
The fact is Kamala Harris is not popular. Defenders will always exclaim racism and misogyny. Whatever. She's had two years as vice president. Every time she speaks it's a word salad. There's no there there. She is not a disciplined thinker. And she's clearly not comfortable addressing policy. Any policy. She's like the anti-Hilary Clinton. Additionally, her staff turnover is absurd. She's obviously a terrible manager. She attracts no loyalty. And being from California is not a plus presently. The ads about being the district attorney for San Francisco write themselves.
So, danger alert for democrats and all civilized human beings. The risks for chaos are uncomfortably high. Trump may lose to a toaster oven but he will defeat Kamala Harris.
Exactly. I wish more Dems would acknowledge these challenges rather than Biden or it’s the end of the world with Trump. Trump may be the anti-Christ but doesn’t mean we can ignore Biden-Harris candidacy issues.

You think people wouldn't give him grief or not fully support Biden if Democrats talked more about Biden's flaws? I'm not sure what you expect this dynamic to be. People will always complain endlessly about whoever is in power.
So a you think it’s better to suppress speech lest anyone be turned off? And we can never talk about it because there is always another boogeyman we have to worry about. It is BS.

Look what do I know, but that really doesn't seem to be how most people perceive him - those who know him personally, those who've met him, those who (like me) only see his public image and form an opinion based on that. I don't doubt he is a confident guy - I don't know anyone in politics who doesn't feel pretty good about themselves, even if buried under a deep layer of self-loathing - but I can't see him being cruel in that way to Hillary.
Anyway, I don't care what he said. I think he's doing a good job as president. I'm almost 50 and I think he is the best president of my lifetime. I don't love that he's going into this at age 80 - but my concern about his age is abstract; what I see is him doing a good job. And I also don't see someone else I wish were doing it instead. I see Dems I hope are getting ready - but I don't see any who I think should swoop in today. And you couldn't pay me to vote for a Republican, at this stage of things. Esp not the ones who are eyeing the prize here. They are a disgusting bunch of boils.
Give me Dark Brandon, and please, please let me pay attention to things other than politics.
Democrats are being gerrymandered out of existence in WI and NC and we've heard crickets from the white house
What exactly would you like the White House to do about state issues like that?.
Sometimes voters in a state need to take control of their own state to make the changes that they want.
I don't like that you can't park on my street overnight in my neighborhood. What's the White House doing about that?

we all do! But love is not enough in this case...
What's your plan?
It's not for me to have a plan, that is the DNC's and political elite's job. I am the voter and I know that an 80 year old man is not ideal to lead a country, especially a country the magnitude of the US, and especially in such volatile times. And his VP has not enough experience to take over if needed.
The plan is to keep a catastrophic trump presidency from happening. Mission accomplished in 2020 and it will be accomplished again in 2024.
Biden's presidency has been catastrophic. There is NOTHNG that he has done that has improved things for the American people.
The voters will disagree with you but that is how this goes. You like trump. Most of the voters do not. That is how it gets settled.

Whitmer, Newsom, Buttigieg
Yes. Or…..
Jon Ossoff
Raphael Warnock
Lauren Underwood
Joe Nguse
There are others.
Dems have a deep bench. People who ask dumb questions like the first PPs don’t even bother to look at options. Lazy AF.
