There's no way she didn't get special treatment. Their money offers benefits (like being able to legally find a child) much faster then regular people. They've barely been married for a year. No respectable unrestricted agency would approve them. There's a reason you have to be married for a few years. Adoption is a complex journey that lasts their whole lifetime. That being said congrats to them!

Do you understand that our entire civilization exists because of women who had children much younger than 21? They have plenty of money and she is much better suited to be a mother than 90% of the older women.
Our civilization is not as mature as it was 100 years ago. Plus, we have longer lifespans than we used to. Money isn't everything needed for raising a child. What does she know about child development? She's mentally still a child herself! She's taking part time online classes at Purdue University, and has a ton of animals. Is her house even clean??
What proof do you have that our civilization is not as mature as it was a 100 years ago? People had babies at 15 not because they were mature but becaue they were physucally capable and they used to die a lot younger. They needed kids to supprt them in old age. Your orlignal point was that "her brain isn't even developed yet." We send men into war at 18. We have college graduates doing complex tasks at 22 or 23. Your argument makes no sense. But then you moved the goalposts as expected.
What do you know about her personally to entitle you to say that she is not mature, doesn't know about child development (the vast majority of peopl,e including the ones who are much older, know very little about child development until they have children), and about her house being clean (very bizarre comment BTW).
You're just reaching. My guess is that their child will be much better off and have more support than a hell of a lot of children born into poverty to mothers younger than her.

That's not that bizarre, she's an animal horder. As of this year she has 62 pets including 30+ dogs in the house at any one time. I'm sure they have help but it sounds like a real scene over there.
I’ve read that they live on a large farm in rural Georgia and the animals are rescues.

No one is required to go through any particular agency. They probably found a lawyer who networked to find them a baby. That's still legal and often how it's done.

Living in the lap of luxury has very little in common with a similar aged couple who just lived through WWII or some other time in history where there was actual struggle.
Unlike some of the other posters. I think have some hurdles in life makes you a better parent than those for whom life is too easy. (Nannies,nannies, yachts...)
You know what these guys can afford? A do over if "things don't work out." To bad if their little nuclear family playtime doesn't work out, they can afford for the child to be cared for by nannies while they each lead their own lives.

I feel sorry for her. She seems troubled and just kind of off the wall. Being a child actor is like being doomed. I hope I'm wrong but I don't see a good future for her.

If either one of them had fertility issues, the standard celebrity path is donor egg or donor sperm and surrogate. Adoption doesn't seem so surprising for her given the number of animals she has adopted/rescued. Not that I'm comparing babies to animals, just doesn't seem outside the realm.
If I were a kid who was placed for adoption into a house with a dozen animals, I'd be so pissed. One or two? Sure. A damn menagerie? No.

Aging is not kind to us fair girls from the British Isles / Ireland. We do tend to look 45 at 22. But also at 55, so, you know, it evens out.

if I were placing my baby for adoption and had a choice between a famous 21 yr old multi-millionaire and her husband, or a couple in their 30's who earn $150-300K if all other things are equal I'd pick the older couple who earns less.
Are you a pregnant 14 to 17 year old in a red state who hates her life and wants out? and is probably from a poor, dysfunctional family? I suspect that describes most of the young women--really girls--who are giving up newborns for adoption.

If he’s a pothead, it’s very possible he is shooting blanks.
But apparently she’s talked about adoption in interviews, so maybe she knew she might struggle if she has some health issues.
Anyway, they probably bought that baby. Celebs operate in another world. Zero chance they are just another file at a random adoption agency.
