I totally get parents of younger kids at the school checking or people who might consider switching to the school based on results looking. I honestly just don't understand a random adult's interest.
My kid is at one school and now I'm wondering if we made the right choice.![]()
Things change a lot in 4 years. Admissions process will be different in another 4 years. Schools are experimenting now with test optional admissions, for example. In another 4 years, most schools will have a similar practice. The may be mostly doing internal testing, test optional, etc, but I think the process will be more uniformed.
Predictions for two years out? Will things be that much different than today?
The supreme court is expected to make a ruling on affirmative action this year.

Yes - good to see these kids are not opting for the traditional top schools and instead are focusing on the Marylands, Northeasterns and Wisconsins of the world. Best bang for the buck

Anonymous wrote:STA & NCS are traditional, modest & humble. You won’t see them bragging like these Instagram pages do.

The most impressive thing here is that NCS and STA don’t have pages. Good for them.
Why? What are they hiding?
Nothing they just aren’t constantly living on social media. Good for them.
Tell that to NCS. They do have an Instagram page for 2022, but hiding their poor results for 2023!

You’ve got a point.
But Business isn’t so bad when it comes to being employable and earning a living.
At my college some used to say we engineers were really attending “trade school” I wonder what those English, History and Fine arts majors think now.
But working in business and getting an mba is not the same as majoring in business as an undergraduate student. That pretty much wipes out any opportunity for serious investment in one’s intellectual learning opportunities. I would not be unhappy if my kid got an mba after studying something of substance in undergrad. But majoring in business is like majoring in marketing or fashion merchandising. No way is that an interesting intellectual experience.
