Sometimes I just missed the timeless sophistication of old-fashioned posed photos. Too many staged “candids” end up looking more phony and canned than the posed photos.

+1. I watched them for a bit as a younger adult. I had a vague notion that this was the sort of thing a serious citizen, interested in politics, should watch to keep informed. That didn't last long. Superficial, predictable, and vapid.

“Meet the Press” and “Face the Nation”. I used to watch them religiously every Sunday about 20 years ago, then I had a moment of clarity and the scales fell from my eyes and I realized that they are absolutely godawful. I’ve spent the last 20 years doing something else on Sunday mornings and it was seriously one of the best decisions of my life.
