I'll add that for OP's question it doesn't matter.

Many people in intense careers make it very clear to their spouse that their careers come before the marriage and kids. Or at least they make clear that they are never going to stop doing what they are doing. This isn't the case with Tom and Gisele.

Are quarterbacks at high risk of brain injury? I don't know diddly about sports - but I thought quarterbacks sort of do a pretty safe thing, then mostly aren't around for the rough stuff.
