Them move over when you're finished, obviously. This isn't hard.

It just seems so hard for the person behind me to stay at a safe following distance until I'm done passing.

Really hard to understand unless you get that they are self important today DC area losers.

If you are asking this question at all means you are clogging up the left lane. Just stay in the right lane unless you can efficiently pass. It shouldn’t take more than 10 seconds to pass. And that is generous.

Talking specifically to ICC drivers here, If I'm going 70 and passing traffic continually, I am not moving over so you can go 80. Sorry.

Also if I'm going 70 and after you tailgate annoyingly and I then move into a clear center lane, don't start going 71 mph, hit the gas pal!

I swear afternoon Eastbound ICC drivers are the absolute worst. We're going to get speed cams out there and won't be my fault.

LOL, the rules of the road don't apply to me, so I force people to tailgate me, thus risking bodily harm to both of us. Because I shouldn't have to move over if I don't wanna!

This explains the slow people in the left lane. I always wondered what they were thinking. I regularly drive 64W from Richmond to Charlottesville, and people camp out in the left lane going the speed limit all the time. They literally do not understand the rules of the road. I drive over the speed limit, but if there's a clear stretch, I move into the right lane. It slows all of us down for me to presume that whatever speed I'm going is the fastest anyone shall be allowed to go.

#1 reason why VA drivers are the worst.

Oh so going 80-85 in a 65 is “following the rules of the road”?

Hypocritical a33holes and you all SUCK at driving.

That is following the flow of traffic.

Move TF over, selfish prick. You don't own the roads.

You absolutely are not. You fly by do all the other cars look like they are standing still. You are the selfish prick. If 85 is the flow of traffic, I wonder why there are so many speed traps.

Take a basic driving course.

If most cars are going that fast then it’s the flow of traffic.

Don’t play left lane vigilante by disrupting the flow of traffic. You’re creating a dangerous situation.

Put down the phone. You’re going to get someone killed.

Could it be because they are selfish pieces of garbage who should be forced to take the basic driving test until the whole “you cannot exceed the speed limit even to pass” gets past their thick skulls?

The flow of traffic isn’t always *your speed*. It’s the speed of most drivers on the road. If you can’t easily keep up with changing environmental factors (cops), then just move aside for more competent drivers.

No it is not. You are doing the opposite, trying to exceed or define the "flow of traffic".

But the worst jagoffs are the ones that don't even give you 2 seconds to move over, they just try some dangerous pass on the right move. Sometimes weaving all the way to the right shoulder and then back across to "their lane".

Move over to let someone by? Sure. I'll do so as soon as it is safe and convenient. Until then, you can wait. You can go 70 behind me or 55 behind the center lane traffic. Your choice.

If you aren’t going to do it in a timely manner then I go to the right lane. It shouldn’t take more than 10-15 seconds.

I guess the good thing about having so many left-lane vigilantes is that the right lane is usually clear. I just cruise on by on the right.

Blocking intersections is never a good idea. It may help you briefly, but it makes traffic so, so much worse. Treat people how you want to be treated, and don't create more traffic!

Not a bad idea.

1st DUI offense, 50k fine and home confinement for 1 year.

2nd DUI offense, ankle bracelet for life. 1 million dollar fine, at least.

Duh, very few people can pay a million dollar fine. What do you propose to do with them?

DP

If they are unable to pay a fine, they can elect voluntarily to be methodically/scientifically beaten with instruments (rubber hose, sticks, lengths of chain, etc) by a volunteer squad composed of victims of previous DUI crashes. They would not be beaten to death. Every effort would be made to ensure they do not die. But they will receive a beating that they will be reminded of daily, for the rest of their lives.

I think that’s pretty fair. And generous, too.

+100

And that's for the SECOND offense. The first... a year of house arrest w/ an ankle bracelet, and 100k fine.

There is no excuse for anyone to drive drunk these days. And if you're driving drunk a 2nd time, you deserve lots of personal harm for your needless, deadly selfishness.

I have no way of proving this but I think the majority of "dealer" tags I see on cars are ghost tags. I wonder if law enforcement is keeping track of this at all.

All the Va drivers without front plates should be fined.
