WJ, Wheaton, and Einstein. That's it.
and BCC which is also adjacent
If the intent was to include BCC along with WJ and the DCC to populate Woodward, why would the plans never mention BCC? It wouldn’t need to be some kind of deep state secret.
The plans DID mention BCC at one point, and BCC parents had a hissy fit (see the Lyttonsville Master Plan or Sector Plan, I forget). BCC was then removed.
They don't need to mention it. It's adjacent to Woodward and the DCC, so it's part of the solution whether some parents like it or not.
Because BCC is so special it doesn’t need to be mentioned when WJ and the DCC are specifically mentioned?![]()
Yes it's obvious since it's between these entities and part of MCPS.

Perhaps, but what they're saying is nevertheless true.
BCC is fine with their kids sitting on a cell tower gas generator to watch lacrosse games. They will be perfect for Woodward.
If they live closer to Woodward they'd be Woodward kids not BCC kids. We're all for a neighborhood schools right?
The only part of the BCC zone that would be closer to Woodward than it is to BCC is the very northernmost bit, and that bit is actually closer to Einstein than it is to Woodward, or BCC.

I would think most of the Western third of Einstein's boundary is going to land at Woodward to help with overcrowding. BCC's recent addition probably reduced any overcrowding there for the time being but it's possible some minor changes to its northern boundary could indirectly help with overcrowding at other nearby schools. In the end, we really don't know how this will play out, but I don't think it's anything to stress about.
But the problem with that is the westernmost part of Einstein's boundary is the Rock View area, and the Einstein walk zone covers most of that area. They're not going to reassign students who are walkers to become bus riders. They will likely reassign those who are already bus riders to Einstein instead.
I would think Rock View is the only Einstein feeder not a candidate to be rezoned to Woodward. It will be interesting to see which of the 4 other feeders will get rezoned, there are different arguments for all of them. To me if there is real determination to ensure the makeup of Woodward is more diverse, Highland ES will probably be a top candidate, although some of their students are in the walk zone for Einstein.
DP. I think many Highland students would also be walkable to Wheaton HS, so if they're reassigned anywhere it might be there. So they're probably not getting bussed to Woodward either.
