The director position was created and the former Supervisor was rolled up into that position, with no job description or job posting from what I can tell. Then, a former principal with gifted education background has been in the job for a year and the word on the street was that she has been under scrutiny for treating him so badly he had to be moved out to avoid a lawsuit.
What's up with that? Sounds really dysfunctional for a dept. in Syphax.
What will KM do in Gifted if there is already a director?
If you take a position on a lower grade, you keep the salary amount. So, KM took a job with less responsibility and the same amount of money. I agree, it sounds dysfunctional and expected in Syphax.
Wait, what? That’s a sweet gig, to be able to take a less stressful job but keep the salary.
Less stressful with a director who treated the prior supervisor badly enough a lawsuit was a concern? Yikes. Hardly makes sense.

Here’s to hoping!
She’s one of the most amazing people ever run into at APS and a huge loss for Nottingham. Tremendous win for Taylor.
Agreed. Very lucky Taylor!
It’s a real shame that Nottinghams current principal, who is very close to retirement, wouldn’t get out of the way so Lynch could be promoted there. Nottingham cannot catch a break.
Taylor is very very lucky.
Really? She doesn't seem that old.
Why would you need to be old for an elementary school principal job?

Thanks for the explanation on the salary. But it still seems weird to put a principal in a position with less responsibility than before. Why would they do that? Does this mean she wasn't viewed as an effective principal?
