How about we make murder illegal? Oh wait, it already is
So, why bother making murder illegal. Is that your logic?
How many school shootings have there been in the UK?
Ireland?
CANADA?
Australia?
New Zealand?
? not sure what your point is, but those countries have very strict gun control, at least I know in the UK they do. My spouse is from there.
But to answer your question -- many already have posted a chart showing how the US is far and above all other countries, including 3rd world countries, in terms of the number of school shootings.
Yes I know that was my point. I was responding to some dingbat saying 'well murder is already illegal' dur dur dur
Same BS that Ammosexuals bring up all the time. Along with 'then make cars and scissors illegal' freaking idiots
oh, yes. It's the same stupid logic... "murder is illegal but it doesn't stop murders..so we don't need more murder laws, right"? Then why bother making murder illegal. Heck, why bother having laws since someone will break the law.
We have speeding laws, but most people speed. Why have speeding laws?
We have theft laws, but we still have theft. Why have theft laws?
We have anti-corruption laws, but look at how many corrupt people there are. So, why bother having corruption law.
I mean, why bother having *ANY* law, per that ammosexual's logic.

When are you leaving?
Because Europe is the safest place to be right now…

Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:yes something that impacts less than 100 kids a year needs national laws to combat
by that logic the following should be outlawed
Driving, Taking a bath, swimming pools etc
Let’s see … over the past few decades auto regulations have been enacted to improve safety, car seats are continually being improved, setback/fence line requirements exist or else pool owners can be held liable for injuries on their property, etc. but for some reason we throw up our hands when it comes to guns and declare that nothing.absolutely.nothing can be done to make them less deadly. Guns must be special I guess.![]()

Abolish the 2nd amendment and we won’t need new laws.
And we pounce because there is no excuse for children to be murdered in their classrooms. Ever.
You know he broke many laws doing this right? Putting more on the books for him to ignore would not have changed the outcome.....
It is about changing the narrative and the attitudes toward guns. There should be a stigma to them.

This man was Latino.

Yes. This. I can’t wait until gun fetishism is viewed as low class and gross and smoking cigarettes. Tobacco use has dropped dramatically in the past few decades. It’s time to stop glorifying guns as some cool item to own. No more mass collections and posting selfies with firearms on social media.
Any gun ownership outside of law enforcement, and registered/insured handguns for self protection or a rifle for hunting, should be looked down on. Each bullet sold should be tracked with limitations the same as we do now for pain medication and ingredients that can be made into meth. Better yet, include a serial number on each bullet and you are strictly liable (criminally and financially) for any crime committed with that bullet. Gun ownership needs to be treated like the HUGE responsibility it is.
And I’ll criticize liberals as well. No more restorative justice BS for gun crimes. An acquaintance of mine was shot and killed 2 years ago by a criminal with a prior history of gun charges just a few years earlier. It should be one strike and you’re out for a very long time. Use a gun in a crime and face a 20 year minimum sentence.
