It’s the new elementary school that faces more uncertainty. The uncertainty around the high school is things like expanding the space, not its existence.

Property values will take a big hit in those areas. I guess they will be bussing kids over to the new school or will parents have to drive them over? Traffic in front of Georgetown Hospital already sucks at that hour.
It’s like the area the new school is being built in does not have enough students. Why are they building it? Mary Chen really screwed this up.
The new Foxhall school was all Mayor Bowser. Maybe an assist from Phil Mendelson. If you think this is dumb vote against those two.
This is what is hilarious about the entire exchange. If anything Goulet's lobbyist friends pushed though the lab school renewal and Bowser needed to meet demand. This was sadly one of the few useable properties in W3. And most of the candidates in the race are OK with mayoral control, so doubt thing significantly change. The high school is a done deal, the ES may go, but I'd still bet better than even money that is it built to DCPS spec even if Goulet is elected.
For the lease renewal push Lab hired two lobbyists, Ben Young and Clare Bloch.
Ben Young is Mendelson's campaign finance chair.
Clare Bloch is Goulet's campaign co-chair.
