My wife pours honey and walnuts on them before baking. Everyone always asks for them.
Except for the people with nut allergies! I hope they are clearly labeled.
if not, even someone with allergies can SEE a bunch of walnuts.![]()
Sometimes things like sauces settle at the bottom of the pan and soak into the dish, especially a dish with a bread component. I can see where these wouldn’t be obvious. Plus, it’s not like something like cookies or brownies where you know that particular type of food does often contain nuts. I’ve literally never heard of freaking pigs in a blanket…with nuts. [/quot
so you are saying you literally can't see a walnut on top of something? Oh ok.
So you are literally proving you can’t use the reply feature on DCUM? Oh OK.

I usually just have some chips with that unless I see a really tantalizing potato or pasta salad or deviled eggs, then I try some even with the inherent risks because I figure the worst thing that can happen is I get really sick and lose five pounds in two days, way to kickstart a diet!

Is lightly fried tuna thumbs up or down at a block party?

I bring my own pear, Gouda, and tiny snifter of Frangelico.
Hahaha
I bring a tiny charcuterie board with locally cured duck sausage, sour cherry chutney, and Stilton but to keep it fun I bring a tiny pitcher of sangria

Ha! I only eat what I bring and that’s it. Unless I’m going to a sit down dinner or lunch and or a catered/restaurant meal, I’m pretty much doing “stage eating” and putting a few things on my plate, pushing the food around then into the trash it goes. My expectation is never to have a full meal at office parties, block parties, birthday parties and most especially block parties.
I recognize I have food hang ups and yes, I will eat at restaurants.
Fun fact: I work for the health department.

Let’s duke it out.
I love 3-bean salad, canned or not. You seem picky and judgmental.
+1
I feel like people have only had poorly made versions of these things and pre-judge all versions there ever after by that experience.
That said, I don’t like to take a lot of food in case it’s made poorly or has been made/stored unsafely and stick to desserts. And Ramen Noodle Salad! I love that stuff.
