I would go so far as to buy the masks myself and make sure you are only in situations where risk is low and masked. There's emotional harm to the relationships but there's the threat of physical harm to your husband or 3 year old.
I have a 3 year old as well and tbh, we have NOT allowed anyone unvaccinated around our kids except in total outdoor environments and during major surges, we insisted that even our vaccinated family got tested prior to gathering (some were in fact positive!) as we don't want our unvaccinated child to be harmed. We haven't been in the situation for a while now due to other situations but if friends/family cannot take even basic measures to keep vulnerable persons safe and still complain, that is 100% on them. I'm not compromising my family's safety, period.
Omg. God forbid your child catches a cold or has a sniffle. WHAT happened to people???
I will never get over the fact that, after literally a MILLION Americans have died from this, there are still loud ignoramuses proclaiming that it is nothing more than a sniffle.
