It perplexed me too. And the fact that Anna knew so much about the finance world at such a young age, with no real work experience. I can't even imagine knowing all the right things to say in order to get someone to loan me $20 million!

That said, I don't get this worship of Anna either. She's a con artist who ruined lives just to steal luxury goods that she felt entitled to. It's disgusting. I binged watched The Tinder Swindler, the Puppet Master, and Inventing Anna this weekend, and Anna was SO poorly done and overacted; it was so disappointing. Why didn't Rachel lose her job? 62k on a work card- most people would have been charged in court for theft. Don't understand that.

Lastly, and this is off topic (kind of). Please tell me why designer clothes, shoes, sunglasses, etc., make any difference at all to anyone, in any context.
