This comment wins as most gross of the thread. That term alone makes me stabby.
I'm carrying his child and we make more money than we can spend. We do big things like this for each other once every 5 years. I'd love to hear your suggestions on how else to waste $20,000. At least the Birkin is an investment and will hold its value!

You can do both. You don’t only have to give a woman’s shelter. Am I not a good person because I donated to a woman’s shelter and bought a Birkin? Would I be a better person for just donating instead of buying and donating?

So you’re saying you never get gifts from your spouse? You donate to a women’s shelter every birthday, Anniversary, kids birthdays, etc? What about when you go to buy a new car. Instead of spending $30k I should assume you spend $10k and donate $20k to a shelter instead of getting a nicer car?

Last one they had to hunt down the one I wanted. I have spent thousands on scarves in dc and Paris, and the DC SA actually recognized me last time. I also got a couple enamel bracelets, but I have never found the shopping experience anything other than normal attentive service one would expect at a luxury store. But I don’t buy big ticket items and I have no desire to buy any of their leather goods as I prefer ferragamo style. But, I can’t do without my scarves. I have easily 20 and they are a staple of my middle age wardrobe.
Ok, help a sister out. How do you wear these. I love scarves but never purchase nice ones bc I’m unsure how to tie them.
