I’m doing it. I really like Emma’s core classes but I dislike the program because I don’t like the pressure of having to do the classes in order and basically every day. I prefer to mix it up and do different instructors (I try to do core every day).

For the strength classes, I wish the instructors would give the full instructions during the first set. Sometimes you'll be on the third set and they will say something like "make sure to bend you knee here" or something like that. Info that would have been good to have since the beginning.

I feel like my problems with Robin are not just that she talks too much; probably more importantly she seems VERY disingenuous (much more so than she used to be). I remember taking her turkey burn ride last year and she did a call out to mothers that felt really moving and real, and yet her rides lately just seem VERY fake. And I don't mind talkers all the time, I LOVE Cody, but Cody has not lost his 'realness' whatever that is.

I think you would like her! She's friendly and very encouraging and body positive.

Thank you! I really enjoyed her ride. Low-key personality, which I really like, but a challenging ride.

I wish they would tell instructors not to sing along to the music!! Just did Selena’s David Bowie run and had her off key vocals blasting in my ear. She’s guilty of this a lot!! Many other instructors say things like, I want to sing along but I’ll spare you…

All 10 min standing core with Rebecca. The first one (10/4) is one of my faves!

12/7/21 also - didn’t see this one when I posted before!

While I will agree that Rebecca is rather awkward and a bit of an acquired taste, her standing core classes really are very good. She frequently focuses on deep core muscles and/or parts of the core that get neglected in more standard core workouts. I'm not sure I would ever do them exclusively, but I certainly think they are worth incorporating into one's week. The Core for Runners classes from Becs have a similar vibe.

I definitely agree with this. I don't love RK, but I do like incorporating her every now and then. ESPECIALLY the standing core classes. I can totally see how RK classes can be overwhelming and a turnoff to people who are just starting out or who want more of a steady state / traditional workout. She moves pretty quickly and often in odd ways that can take some getting used to (dancer, gymnastics, type moves). But as someone who has been doing bootcamps, HIIT, and various things for a few years now, I enjoy mixing it up and doing interesting things besides a ton of crunches, dead bugs, and planks.

The best instructors- bike Matt (great teacher), tread- Becs (great teacher) and Marcel Dinkins (hilarious and makes the runs go by faster), strength- Jess (she really fires up my muscles) and runners ups are Rad, Adrian, Selena, and Emma for core. Bike Bootcamp- Tunde and Jess. Tread Bootcamp- Jess and Adrian. Yoga- Kristin and Dennis (old school yoga instructors). I sprinkle other instructors here and there but those above are my go-tos.

Nobody's rides are more consistently difficult than OA. Very demanding. I do most of them and when I do a ride with someone else I always feel like I could have worked harder

They're demanding for you because you respond to her style and follow her cues. I find her annoying AF and so I ignore her. One of Robin's Tabata classes, or Hannah F's HIIT and Hills, though, I'll work for.

I find Olivia very demanding. Why do you find her annoying? Just curious. I find a lot of the instructors annoying!

Two things. First, I just don't click with her instructional style with way I do with, say, Robin or Hannah F. or Tunde. I find Olivia bland.

Second, and more important, she's too unstructured for me. The HIIT & Hills I tried with her were a lot of, "Now you're in a hill! Go!" and "Now we're in an interval! Go!" with no sense of overall class structure, timing, etc. Maybe it was just the few I tried, but they were bad enough that I have no desire to try her again. By contrast, Hannah F. structures her HIIT & Hills beautifully and communicates that structure clearly at the beginning of the class. Maybe Olivia has a plan in mind, but it doesn't seem like it. As someone who was coached at a pretty high level in my previous athletic life, I find that tendency both frustrating and lazy.

Big fan of Denis, Jen and Christine for the way the use the music as part of the ride. Doesn’t matter the genre, they align resistance/cadence with it so you are working with the music. Took one Bradley Rose class and he was so off the music, it was laughable. Wish I liked Leanne because I like her playlists, but her voice grates on me. Like Matt (PZ) Alex, Hannah F. and Kendall for variety once in awhile. Avoid the instructors who are all about the show. Can still get a good workout with them, but not worth the annoyance. Best thing — there’s someone for almost everyone.

She's the one that got me into Peloton just using the app before I had the bike and I agree, she's gotten a little full of herself lately, but she still motivates me to work hard. Plus, I tend to gravitate toward her music. If I want a hard bike workout, I'll go for Tunde, Robin, Jess King, Kendall, and Alex. Even Alex's 10 min arms are a good workout--and Tunde's too of course. Kendall is awesome--not sure why she's not part of the cool girl Peloton group. I have this theory that she and Robin don't get along and that's why. I think she's the prettiest of them all and her workouts are hard. Love her style too. Cody is my go-to for fun rides. His rides tend to be easier, but I'll ride with him when I need to laugh or just take my mind off of working out. Emma Lovewell is kind of boring, but I love her 90's rides. Love Leanne--she not super tough, but her workouts are solid and I just love her positive energy. I like Jenn Sherman for certain musical choices--don't love her, but I like the fact that she doesn't make this look like a walk in the park and is legit working out hard with you at the same time. Jess Sims, Olivia, and Adrian are the toughest for strength. Cannot stand Andy Speer or Rebecca Kennedy (no wonder they're a couple, ugh). I haven't tried the bike with Olivia yet---have heard those are crazy hard. For running outside, my go-tos are still Robin and Jess Sims.

I nearly peed my pants taking Rebecca’s latest Halloween core strength class. I was like WTF. I just sat there and watched it like it was tv. Bad tv.

I heard her Disney class was in the same vein

Was the Halloween class the same one that was Hunger Games themed? That one was ridiculous.

I never tried the Hunger Games class, but I did the Disney bodyweight class and the Halloween class, both from 2021, because of this thread. Both classes were chaotic but weren't the atrocious dumpster fires I was expecting.
