Rehearsal dinners and next day brunches have dialed up in general. Same for floral, activities added to reception, junk gift bags, activities on day of wedding, lags between ceremonies and cocktail hour and receptions, elaborate but inedible cakes. The usual start point was groom's family on a limited scope rehearsal dinner/welcome party and reception bar bill.
Expectations and pressure from
guestzillas can include all sorts of stuff. Some get huffy if you don't get a wedding planner [$3000-$30k plus]. Ironic that MOB+MOG+couple can be just fine but guestzillas are a problem.
